A Little About Myself
Willow Trees are known for their branches that bend not break. They have roots that grow so big and strong they are often larger than the trunk itself. Just like trees, we all have roots that we come from. Little Willows Daycare is a home away from home. Children will always feel loved, safe and included in my home.
Hello, My name is Felicia Cunha and I am a mother to two very active boys. I am also a registered early childhood educator since 2017.
In the year of 2020 my husband Jesse and I welcomed our first child into the world. With the arrival of our son we decided it was time to follow my dreams and open a home daycare. I left my job as a nanny and turned my main floor into a home daycare. I was born and raised in a home daycare and have always dreamed of raising my kids in the same environment.
I know that leaving your pride and joy in the care of a stranger is not easy, so let me tell you some background information about me. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old and knew right away that I wanted my future career to be working with kids. I was a babysitter for many years before completing my Early Childhood Education diploma at Mohawk College in 2017. Right after graduation I started my career as a fulltime nanny. Shortly after, I became pregnant with my first child and decided it was time to have my home daycare. It was very bittersweet to leave my nanny career for my dream career.
Here at Little Willows Daycare I provide a nurturing and educational environment where children feel safe, loved and included. I treat every child with the love and respect that I treat my own. This is a safe place for children to grow and develop their minds through play.
